Doodling isn't just for idle moments, it can sharpen focus, enhance memory recall, and promote relaxation.
As a therapist, exploring my own creativity and building my artistic practice has deepened my ability to facilitate art therapy for clients while cultivating mindfulness and focus in my personal life.
Join me on Friday, May 30th from 6pm to 7:30 for an immersive experience. I will teach simple drawing techniques that anyone can do even if they don’t consider themselves “creatives”. These techniques use repetition to allow the creator to enter into a flow state. Once you learn the techniques you can utilize them when you feel creatively blocked, or mentally overwhelmed. On May 30th you’ll have the opportunity to practice the different drawing methods in a supportive space, and we’ll wrap up the evening with a collaborative community art project.
Whether you’re looking for a new mindfulness practice, a way to unlock your inner artist, a means of connecting creatively with your clients of any age, or simply a relaxing evening collaborating with like-minded individuals, this event offers a welcoming space to explore self-expression and creativity.
